Family Communication via Phone Calls

Establishing a relationship with students' families goes a long way in supporting students in the classroom both academically and behaviorally. As much as you can, take the opportunity to establish contact with parents in an effort to:

1. Introduce yourself
2. Find out how school is going for the child (giving parents a chance to talk...) 

3. Learn about what motivates and interests the child (giving parents a chance to talk positively and lovingly about their son or daughter)
