Madison Community Speakers

Guest speakers are a great way to tap into others' expertise and to give your students a chance to hear from community members. There are a wealth of options....

1. UW-Madison maintains both a database of experts around current issues and a Speaker's Bureau.
2. Wisconsin Historical Society maintains a list of authors who've written about Wisconsin and may be available for speaking engagements.
3. American Council of Engineering Companies maintains a list of engineers available to speak on topics from groundwater to transportation.

Using Outside Speakers in the Classroom is a brief article written by Pat Mullins to outliner the range of factors to consider when inviting in guest speakers.
